The Khmu People of Laos

This video shows two children playing in the village we stayed in during our trek in the mountains of Northern Laos. Forty families lived in this village of Khmu people, an indigenous ethnic group in Laos. The Khmu practice animism and daily life revolves around agriculture. We were invited into the house of a Shaman- the religious leader- to see the sacred alter and place of animal sacrifice. When asked what the villagers thought of travelers coming to stay with them, our guide told us that they were curious as to what outsiders wanted to see and why they were coming. Gold and water that makes you live forever of course.

our brother and sisters that are all over the earth. these are the ones we want to associate with and be close too. by sharing and working on these things to with those who are working hard to actually do this now. we should all want to be close to these ones. 8 )

traditional religion even in Laos. This is the saddiest thing. Their worship=religion does not bring them together. so what do people do? the very thing that makes them suppose to bring the earth family closer to the maker, puts them farther and farther away from the Father of all those LIVING. This is a special thing, because those who do worship (which equals) religion does observe and indeed do these things can do and say that they truly know and love the Father in heaven. No war, no

most religion is not very spirtual at all actually. i completely agree with you. this is sad because what a group of people does together should make us stronger, and help us grow in our happiness. most want money, or tell people that they are bad people, others war against there own "brothers" and "sisters" of the same religion. catholic killing catholic--protestant killing protestant--buddhist killing buddhis--taoist killing taoist--old traditional religion killing those of the same old
