In the early 1990's Cambridge animation had a revolutionary vector animation system running on NeXT computers. 15 years later it still hasn't been matched.

  • Not in 1991 you couldn't. There is still stuff in Animo Vectors that can't be done in Flash without a lot of work arounds or plug-ins.

  • rigging!!!!!! how can i do it

  • Animo is no longer sold. This version was discontinued when NeXT was bought by Apple in the late 90's, since it worked on NeXTSTEP OS.

Too bad since it was still better than what is out there.now 16 years later.

  • were can i get animo?

  • Animo is no longer sold. They stopped making the vector animation stuff in around 1999. The ink and paint and compositing software was available up until 2009 when it was bought out by Toon Boom. Let's hopethatsome of the tech makes it into Toon Boom.
