The Shining Homage: Red Rum

This was made for a competition where you had to recreate a favourite movie scene under 60 seconds. I chose THE SHINING and mad thanks to Joanna and Jason for helping out. We did this in one day and this is how it turned out. Not exactly scary if you're expecting horror of some kind.

Very good but if you notice the water has no where to go but back towards the elevator. Also the effect is akin to filling up a certain space with liquid. The blood in yours flows rather than splashes. The point where it came out, too, was at the top, so there should have been a slight splashing scene. If I had to grade U for believability as opposed to Tribute piece, you'd get 4 out 10. You have to think about the liquid and it's motions, not the look of the external ( the camera view).

As I watch this very video, I feel entranced. Ah, yes...I am imagining myself as the little boy and bathing myself in the blood...in the dark, red, oozy, staining blood...and drinking it down, tasting its coppery, salty taste in my mouth, consuming with a voracious appetite the bloodshed of other human beings....ah, yes, feels quite good.
