Arantxa was such a boring pusher

@celtavigo77 Yes she resorted to the only tactic she could use to possibly throw Habsudova off in the nick of time. It was a last resort tactic and you know what it worked. You cant fault her for that, you can fault Habsudova for falling apart because of that, a sign of a very weak mental game which is probably why we never heard much of her again. I agree it is foolish to think Sanchez was just a moonballer. Anyway Sanchez was the #4 seed here so technically she wasnt World #2 at the time.

ASV reach every grand slam final at least twice, if not more!! I dont think she did that by just moonballing her way there... She used a tactic here which she knew she could hurt Habsudova (not like nowadays when the girls just simply try and hit harder and hope for the best!)

if you watch the thing properly, you will see that yes she moon balled beacause she knew karina hated playing high balls. Then ASV moved in to end the point. a win is a win
-
and she had more than the high balls.....you dont get to two wimbledon finals only by rising the balls.....
you can hear the boo-ing at the end. ASV was just moonballing the whole time. a legit tactic, but the world no 2 should have more in their arsenal.

I remember this game like it was yesterday! Habsudova had an amazing tennis... she was so smart! Too bad she couldnt handle sanchez vicario's high balls on this match.
