  • I also prefer classic Ryche but this band is one of the only truly "progressive" bands out there. Their sound changes from album to album. If they stayed with the same formula, we would not have had Promised Land after Empire. The crappy reality is these bands releasing new material 25 years later really aren't that good (Ozzy & Maiden come to mind). However, I would rather have sub-par new stuff then most of the stuff released by these new bands. Ryche & Roll!

  • I like it

  • I think this is a really good song- one of the better ones off DTC. No flat witticisms from Tate. The guitars and keyboards are cool. The chorus is catchy. The string intro is nice and could have been developed into something longer.

I don't think the problem is that Queensryche is abandoning metal/venturing into pop. The problem is that Geoff Tate is trying SO damn hard to seem hip and writing a lot of dumb lyrics in the process. He should stick to writing more meaningful stuff like this.

  • goodbye Queensrÿche

  • im not a fan of the recent quennsryche stuff but all bands sooner or later drop off, unfortunately queensryche dropped off around the promised land era.

in my own personal opinion i thought metallica's last classic album was black, rush's last classic was grace under pressure, floyds last classic was the wall. geoff loves music and would like to continue for as long as possible im sure,it may not be to everyones liking but its what he thinks right at the time....give the band a break

  • jeez whats with all the dislikes

  • @thelavendersheep Their sound may have progressed, just in the wrong way. And Maiden's last few albums have been some of the best of their career.

  • @SpaceDyeDream not so

I like stuff off this album

    and it is different

    less moody i spose.

    Good energy

  • I love how people use "different" as an euphemism for "bad".

  • Good song.

I agree, you 'old fans' are stuck in the past..

This is truly DIFFERENT, not the same..

If you want the same, play operation mindcrime again..

    and again.. and again.

  • this album sucked! let's do the following:

    1. everyone buy a ticket to their concert

    2. don't show up

    3. queensryche will now play "anybody listening?"

    4. hurry in there to listen!
