sorry people but my 1995 saab 9000 aero has a stock "BYPASS" valve for you so called know it alls. not a bow off valve. but it makes a very prominent psh sound that anyone can hear within 50 feet. and its bone stock. the only reason they are louder is cause of the amount of air being able to release. meaning better throttle response and its not smart to not have a BOV or bypass valve. compresser surge, burnt valves, and sooner or later holes in pistons. so read up. learn what your talking about

@monctonwhymeth look it up ,,,the old bov's made no noise but now they make them to sound like that for the "cool" factor,,,,,,,,do you hear the pppssshhhht sound on stock turbo cars ???? no !! you do not !! a stock turbo car has a bov its just not loud like people buy today,,,,,,im thinking you dont know anything about cars but what you have been told buy some kids in a honda,,,, READ A BOOK !!!! then get back to me with real know how,,,,

there doesn't always need to be a bov on a turbo. look at any diesel truck. as far as bov being silent when they are done right that is bs

@monctonwhymeth you dont have a clue on what you r talking about,,, a bov should be silent ,,,,kids like the sound of a under sized bov not opening fast enough so now after market brands r building bov's that sound this way,,,,pppssssshhhhhh,,,,so if its done right you will not hear this ,,some cars need the bov fed back into the intake,,,,,think b4 you talk,,do you hear it on a stock turbo eclipse ???? noooo!

sounds like a 2.4 to me my 2.2 stock did not, depends on whats done to this engine to make the sound but its deff not a turbo
