It's amazing what you find when you start pulling off baseboards. The home inspector didn't raise any red flags. The home warranty doesn't cover it. The contractors want $4,000 to $7,000 to fix it! This is a cantilevered section of the living room. 12' vaulted ceiling with a beam resting on the center post shown here.
