It is more then tribute to the ships but a tribute to the war dead of both sides.

the fletcher was not a battleship it was a destroyer and a very good destroyer at that but as for the best battleship iowa class has proved to be the greatest battleship class as the missouri is still battle ready to this day and has been in many wars but the thing is what makes a warship great is its battle honours there are other ships with great battle honours that never get mentioned like the cruisers and destroyers

Die Bismrck wurde über 10 Stunden von 5 Schlachtschiffen beschossen!

Glaub mir, die Bismarck hatte die beste Panzerung.....  das sagt auch der Historychannel

ähhhhh jo kleiner is gut die yamma war nich nur die gröste bb sie war in der lage schneller zu fahren als andere schiffe ihrer klasse (speed yamma umbau (DIE MIT DEN SCHEIS 3ERN ANNER SEITE( 37 knoten bei overheat)und die panzerung hat WEIT mehr ausgehalten als die vonner bissi

tha yamato was maybe the best!

it was the largest ( 10m longer than the Bismarck)

and it had the biggest guns....

but it was solw...

and the armor was not as strong as that of the Bismarck

you can´t say, which was the best Battleship

or David, sydney, from what i read was only still just a baby right? Her age was only 6-years-old right? and from what i read ships are consitered baby til there about 9-or 10-years old..
