On November 2, 2007, The Edcon Group hosted a Dementia Care Conference in Kansas City, MO, titled "Creating Beauty in Dementia Care." Speakers included John Killick (England) and Kate Allan (Scotland) as well as Barry Bernstein (Overland Park, KS). Barry was kind enough to lead a drum circle at our event and explain the physiological effects of rhythm. As we have worked with individuals who have dementia, we've experienced incredible success and connection through drum circles. Many thanks to Barry for being an inspiration and contributor to the health and well-being of others.

  • I have purchased a number of them for my work with people who have dementia...and they can withstand incredible travel, wear and tear! To research just go to remo.com and click on PRODUCTS. Good luck!!!

  • Barry always had great affection for REMO drums.
