  • really like the video but What did the railroad do to the windows on are EX-LIRR Cars lol i don't remember them opening.

  • Two Years Ago They Replaced Them. I Kind Of Like It Because Every Once In A While You Get A Great Wiff Of Deasel Smoke! mmmmm

  • Wierd Alco locomotive on that train. This line still runs a few freights right?(Garbage trains)

  • They Are Becomeing Very Few. Sence The New Ownership. But They Are Going To Be Picking Up In The Spring.

  • Spring Hill Rd crosses the tracks twice. Which crossing were you at? The one closer to the canal or the one off the Rte 6A/Meeting House Rd Intersection? I went over the latter crossing about a month ago.

  • I Know it was Near Quaker Meeting house RD. That's Really Cool! The other Crossing Is at a Bad Curve and there is No Place to Park.

  • in the last video that mini bell sounds like the ones we have in brewer, maine.

  • Ahh the dinner train!

  • Is that a P3?

  • There is still an active station located right there (Sandwich station) and it is actively used each day there's two scenic trains running. About 20-30 people use the station each trip, either to go to Hyannis or to spend about three hours in the town. The Sandwich runaround track (the second track) was actually used up until 2002 for meets between certain scenic trains and charter trains (there are pics online). Mass Coastal actually officially reopened that runaround about a week ago.

  • I've ridden on that train (CCCRR) a few times. It is well worth the price and I have several videos of my trip up here.

  • I am from Sandwich and I have walked to work on these tracks many, many, times. The second scene at the Jarves St. depot (there was actuallt a station there once) shows a sign reading "2 tracks" but those tracks are about one-quarter mile long and have'nt been used since the early 70's. Even then they were just used for temp. storage. The train you see is a sightseeing train you can ride for an exhorbitant fee. Other than that it's really a nice walk from the cranberry bogs of E. Sandwich.
