Some of the comments I'm seeing really make me lose faith in humanity... People may have been eating meat for centuries, but never was it supposed to be like this.

actually... I am doing something and the first thing ive done is to stop buying into it like I NEED a turkey to eat to justify being american. I dont need for people or animals to be tortured to prove to you or anyone else that I am american.

The guys in this video were sick people, and deserve legal action taken against them. The investigator did not mention, or include in the video that he encouraged the abuse to be taken further. My father worked inside the plant for almost 45 years. I worked in live hang for nearly three years, and never witnessed any abuse. Butterball feeds millions of people. There are bad people all over the world. I love to eat turkey, like all of our fore-fathers before me.

that is just straight up wrong just because their animals doesn't mean they don't have feelings u people r all wrong about this yeah people may eat them but does it mean that we have to drug them they think its funny but one day just one day u will feel sorry when the rapture comes and u stay on earth and burn but just remember i suggest that u quit before bad things start happening i may be a american and i believe tat animals should not be treated like this don't let your anger out on them.

This is nothing more than right-wing hate talk against Muslims. Halel is similar to Kosher and does not include kicking animals, beating them with sticks or throwing them against walls. Asctually, animals killed by Halel or Kosher methods are probably handled much better than the killing machines used for other methods.

@zestydude87 I hope someday I can just have my own backyard chicken, if I want to eat eggs. Then I know where it's coming from. I know someone who has two chickens in her backyard. If everyone did that... well... :-)

@kendalismyname Well said. They got in trouble this past week and i hope someone pays for this abuse. The only birds and eggs i buy have to be "free range" . Ill never buy from Butterball again after this.

What none of you seem to realize is that the Butterball company is butchering these birds under the auspices of 'halel', Muslim practices in the killing of animals..and that is nothing but what amounts to torture...they don't just cut the heads off, they cut what amounts to a jugular vein and let them bleed out...the crueler the better...that is halel and we stopped buying these birds..also, fyi Kentucky Fried Chicken purchases halel birds as well...wake up everybody...
