As a Canadian CBC news commentator Avi Lewis is famous for his strident world-view comprised almost entirely of the common templates handed down by the politically-correct establishment. He is thus relentless in his anti-Americanism; his criticism of Western people, politics, institutions, and religion; and unable to apply the same critical eye to non-Western entities — including Islam. Here he comes in contact with his antithesis in Ayaan Hirsi Ali, a black Muslim-raised Somali woman who does not believe Islam should be beyond criticism for its mistreatment of Islamic women and ongoing global jihad against the non-Muslim world.
