Who would shoot a helpless prairie dog? Lucky we have these activists standing up for the dogs. Kudos to them!

I know our ancestors were eating animals. But how much of that picture is a truth, and how much just a marketing?

Not everyone knows that there were division into 2 diet groups yet in the ape-man times! And it's quite available knowledge, there even is a movie.

One group ate veganly + termites, was peaceful and was spending time on necking and having sex.

The othet group ate animals, were reactive, easily getting angry, and often got into trouble because of not thinking too much.

we were talking about hostage takeovers and ransoms yesterday. ud be surprised how close to the movie "Saw" those situations can get. one time there was a hostage takeover and they said "kill this man by 3:00 or this little girl dies"

lol. that mkes no sence. your getting into evolution (wich has not been provin). all we know is that our ancestors ate wolly mammoth and stuff thay found growing out of the ground ( so seys nat geo and discovery) what you saying is a wild assumption i know what you are saying i took early history class. and your not going to "train speed or quickness" because if there are 5 men with guns as soon as you turn around to save them *boom* im in swat class right now =p ironic eah =p.

I'll train speed and trickyness in fight before that. ;) It's the kind of logical riddles people like to bring up when talking about roles of animals.

Still, who's pointing guns to the heads of who-knows-how-much meat consumers?

There's no such gun, there's only visible and invisible marketing. I don't want you to just trust me on that, but I'm over 11 years in the ad business and have education for that, so I recognise marketing tactics.

Even farm pictures 4 kids = marketing.

again. human animal instinct. did you know back when our ansisters roamed the earth they actually used dogs to track down food cats aswell had a perpous thay were praise in Egypt. but a pig, it is no use for us what is a pigs perpous? what do cows do to help the earth? its all instincts. that is why. if someone put a gun to your head and your family's head gave you a knife and said kill your dog or kill this random pig. which would you kill? or would you let your whole family die?

Don't expect me to propose solution to this. It's field owner's duty to find a humane solution, not mine, until he hires me.

Why being so ignorant to other species' life's value is popular? Why to popularize it more by organising a shooting content? How does it differ from kids saying "hey, let's catch some cat or dog and kill it"?

Answer could be: greed for money and not-willingness to search for a humane solution. He lost his chance to be a proud example.

It's a common and therefore obvious thing with that bond.

There is even a flyer with dog face on one the left and pig face on the right, and the slogan "one you love, others you eat. why?". I bet you probably have seen this flyer somewhere, maybe over Internet.

Strange how several species we adore and other species we as people tend to consider not much more than items.

If only world stop factory farming and stay on such small farms would raise animals for killing for food, there surely won't be 24,000,000,000 animal deaths every year.

But then, there wouldn't be so much illness, and I agree with Leo Tolstoy that folks wouldn't be so willing to fight wars as they are now.

So big pharma and military industry won't gain so much profit.

Nowaday they are #2 and #1 profit industries on the world.

and going back to the comment abotu the farm and the animals would you have felt better if thay released 500 snakes to eat all of the prairie dogs? would that have made a difference? their are still going to be 100 less prairie dogs on that farm.

because we as humans know how humans feel not how animals feel. of corse thay scream when thay are hurt but we as humans are oblivious. "we dont know how death feels since it only comes to us once" thats a qote from some scholar i forget his name. but ill tell you this. if someone comes up and kills my dog. im going to fuck them up. why? because i have a bond with my dog. not the pigs or the cows. links back to this children comment there is a bond.
