  • Homeplug adapters are outdated technolog - they leak RF radiation throughout your house and can cause interference both inside and outside the house. They can slow down your broadband speed in certain conditions

Best to use Ethernet everytime. Even wifi if you are lucky.

  • @somervillearron

Again I would suggest that you do not take this person's or my word for it but check the facts for yourself before you buy - these devices are polluting the limited valuable resource that is the radio spectrum.

Iy you use them and cause interfernce to someone's radio then you can expect a call from you local spectrum regulator

These device have been recorded as having spuriousemissions up to 1GigiHertz /watch?v=9-Ge61BXsaQ

    /watch?v=utfUEEhmHYY

    Interference /watch?v=_lwtB4ZyYk0

  • and what if you live in germany it wont ork shit

  • Lame, I'm not impressed, just looks like a knock off version of the Digital TV box that use to take normal TV Ariel to replace normal TV, now they are trying to find a cheap free way to replace sky or be in competition with it, big deal, your offering BBC I-Player feature, can get it on my PS3, can get it on my laptop, can get it on any damn digital box that has a Ethernet port fixed on it and I can get a cheaper box, tell me something else it can do besides all the lame features in this video.

  • where can you buy home adapters

  • Great video, given me some info i was unaware of! ;)

The next step is for me to get my dish installed and then hook up the rest to my broadband connection! ;)

  • CAT5 cable does not radiate, because it is rf screened. You can plug these rubbish things into CAT5 and there is no problem, but why bother? You can plug the CAT5 straighti linto the equipment you want to connect together!

Mains cable, however, is NOT rf screened. It can even be used as a radio aerial, with a bit of care and knowledge. These homeplug things therefore - plugged into the mains, are effectively connected to an aerial, and radiate all their garbage for all the world to listen to.

  • @6KlingonsRarelyDrop you are an idiot

not what i have been told what i make

were i make them you idiot

does ethernet send rf ? no it does not

    why would these

    think about it

people are assuming these are the same as home plugs they got pulled off and these replaced them they look the same but do different stuff

origional homeplugs sent rf through the air not through the wiring so get your facts right

  • @6KlingonsRarelyDrop because of the bad shit with homeplugs people just assume they are still the same product they never realised they got stopped and a completely new product has came out some people are just that busy listening to gossip that they dont realise the complete difference in two products

    everyone is calling powerlines homeplugs
