I love both sides of u2's music but this performance reminds me why their darker intense stuff gets to me more than the more pop/comercial stuff.

Leave it U2 to pick this song over something more popular or well known, 'Please' was probably their current single. They must've been already thinking that MTV was becoming what it is now; soulless and shameless. Unusual song and definately not "made for MTV." Bravo U2!
