The more I watch this, the more I appreciate what Wiggo and Stanners did for Mark. God what a team! Just heard we've got five for 2012. Think that's the max. But it's a hard hard ask for Mark next year. He'll be so marked and what is it, seven or nine times up Shooters Hill? They need Rod Ellingworth to do a strategy.

Thanks for posting this cos of course it's gone now from iplayer. What a brilliant race for Team GB. David Millar was superb - captain on the road with no race radios - then at the end Wiggins was mind-blowing. Comes to the end and Mark has to get the ball in the net. Does he miss? Does he buggery! I think Hugh and Chris were in tears at the end. And why not? Historic moment for British Cycling.

Superb win! Well done Cav! And well done to the rest of the team esp Brad for that big effort he put in.
Maybe that was to make up for the year Wiggins messed up Cavs chance of a medal and went home the only one not to have one...
Whatever powered them all, it did the trick and we now have a British World Champion again, and the rest of world knows we can be contenders!!!
