  • @nsekh085 like the poverty stricken iran during the shah? or before that during reza rule?

  • you cannot make a law (human rights law) to govern all human being in this planet.Because its is one's right to be different or to have their own opinion(HUMAN RIGHTS).there cannot be a "human rights universal law/standard" to rule or to command all human being to act in a certain universal behaviour regardless of their ideology, faiths, nationality, cultures and so on.because if you do,its call tyranny/regime rule or laws. And again its against human rights itself. It would be absalute stupidity.

  • Assalam, she believe human rights is universal .its her right to believe that but other people have different opinion.she doesnt believe islamic declaration of human rights and dont accept them, well again that her right to do so but others would disagree with her(and its their right).if other religion(the christian, hindu, jew ) makes their own declaration of human rights based on their religion teaching well that their right to do so based on UNDCHR.freedom of speech, freedom of faith .

  • @kneekh085 How one interprets human rights can be just as oppressive, as ignorance of transcendent values. Here is American in the middle of an economic crisis because of extreme views of greed is just as oppressive to the global population, if not more so. The challenge is not Islam or any religion, but to establish a standard we can agree on. We would find greater consensus with peace and justice as a standard. --Not human rights. Human rights are not absolute, nor universal.

  • @hediyeish, Khahesh mikonam mahmihaneh khobam ,sepazgozar az positive feed back .

  • @read1communications ,,,,,you didn't get her meaning ,what she is saying is that Human rights should have Universal standards ,,,,because we are saying HUMAN RIGHTS ,,,Not all HUMANS are Muslims .

I agree with her 100% ,Human rights standards should be universal .

Also she is saying if we make Islamic standard Human rights ,,than Christians can have christian standard human rights ,and Jews the same ,,,,Human rights standard should be universal.

Ebadi is a Muslim and she is not attacking

  • kamelan bahat movafegham va az bardashte ziba va dorostet az harfaye khanume ebad mamnoonami @kiaaan420

  • kiaaana420. She is assuming that religious values are not universal as it relates to human rights. She is also assuming that people in religion are unreasonable, oppressive with out means to establish consensus between members or different groups. Yet most religious texts including the Holy Quran regard human life as sacred, and religious freedom is a natural law. This is the foundation of human rights in the UN Declaration, as well as the U.S. Constitution.

  • @read1communications The point here is that Human rights must be universal , not the whole world is Muslim so other countries and regions could have their own standards ,so you could end up with Jewish human rights Buddhist ,christian human rights. We should have just one UNIVERSAL HUMAN RIGHTS FOR ALL.

    She is not condemning Islam

  • Amazing lady...revealing the criminal iranian government to the world!!
