for a service like this I recommend http://teachitwrite.com/

Teachers know that a well-paced lesson plan is the backbone of an engaging and successful classroom. English and Language Arts teachers will find creative and thought-provoking lesson plans, worksheets, literature lesson plans, PowerPoints and much more that will hook their middle and high school students into becoming life-long learners. Each lesson plan is based on clear communication, research and structure, providing teachers and students with activities that are motivational, interactive and substantial. The comprehensive literature unit plans are based on the Common Core principles and the Backwards Design concept, with the goals and objectives set from the first moment of lesson planning. After that, I chose the activities, assignments, projects and assessments to meet those objectives.

Just today (9/15/2011), The Washington Post ran a piece on the first page about a drop in SAT reading scores in the metro-Washington, D.C. area. One of the reasons they cited was a deficiency in higher-thinking skills since the onset of state tests. Always a believer that if teachers Lesson Up and Teach Write (as well as Right, i.e. reading comprehension, writing and thinking skills,) their students will pass any test. Each lesson plan that I offer middle and high school English/Language Arts teachers addresses these skills.

On the Lesson Plans: English, Lesson Plans: Creative Writing and Lesson Plans: Journalism pages, I share teaching ideas as well as some of the lessons I have generated in my thirty-year endeavor to show my middle and high school students that learning is fun and exciting. Hopefully you all will share some of your inspiring lesson plans though my Blog: From My Sider of the Desk or the Link Up page. The latter also offers information about and my personal sales page URL for the site where I sell many of my English/Language Arts lesson plans, handouts, worksheets, assessments, PowerPoints, etc. Teachers in need of lesson plans must check out my page at: http://teacherspayteachers.com/Store/Connie

You can see pictures of my products on the page I added to my Facebook
page: http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Teach-it-Write/134330906650564?sk=wall

9/8/2011: I now also sell plans on www.LessonPlanShop.com under ConnieC.

The My Writing page, discusses my books and will discuss the highs and lows of writing and publishing as well as how NOT to choose an agent.

Take a break and relax into your most comfortable chair with a mug of coffee, a cup of tea, a bottle of water, or whatever, and then let's kick back and chat about the fantastic, the funny, the frustrating, and the totally hair pulling aspects of teaching and writing on my Blog page.
