Tall Clavius Tower/Mountain / Monolith filmed from earth through a 12" Meade LX 90 telescope by John Lenard Walson. Edit and hosting by Gridkeeper.
Here are the wiki details on the crater which is next to the tall mountain.

Gruemberger is an old impact crater in the southern part of the Moon. When viewed from the Earth this crater appears oval in shape due to foreshortening, but it is actually relatively circular. The crater lies about 25 kilometers to the north-northwest of the larger and more prominent crater Moretus. The smaller crater Cysatus intrudes into the eastern rim of Gruemberger. About one and a half crater diameters to the north is the large crater Clavius.

This crater has undergone steady erosion from minor impacts, so that the features along the rim and inner wall have become softened and rounded. Significant impacts nearby have covered the floor and sides with ejecta, and there are a multitude of tiny craterlets along the inner wall. The satellite crater Gruemberger A lies within the interior, along the inner wall to the west-southwest.

  • remove the onscreen writing you moron.

  • @brainleftme What a foolish thing to say. If I did that then the film is left open to manipulation.

  • If I had to bet money on what this is, I would bet it is a optical illusion.

Looking at it again, the eyes see a tower.

But if it were a tower, the shadow should be on the right side and not directly behind it.

All shadows in the image are on the right side.

I have to agree with other posters.

It is a flat land that looks like a tower.

The shadow is really a deep crevice.

But it sure can fool you into thinking it is a tower.

Very tricky illusion to the eyes.

  • @planetcheck HI, that's the shadow to the right of it, not behind it.

  • Why are these videos all shot when the terminator is near? Why don't you ever show them at full illumination? Oh thats right, because the "structures" you claim to see are just artifacts of light and shadow and completely disappear in full light.

    FAIL

  • @jib1000 Too much light. Simple.

  • I can prove without a doubt... this is not a tower.

  • No matching shadow, it's a ridge running away from the viewer.

  • @planetcheck ok yes you right all the shadow are on the right side BUT if you look the tope of the tower and trace a line going down to the right falowing the shadows you will see the end of the shadow of the tower! you cant see the all the shadow of the tower because its mix with the shadow of the huge rock..try look you will see it..i am not sure what is the shadow on the flore maybe something we cant see on the photo..but thats something going up and not laying down for sure.

  • The best evidence for moon towers is to is to send a satellite and rover near one of these moon towers and image them up close. Here is another great moon tower video:

  • Actually indications moon towers have been seen by satellites that imaged the moon, like the Zond-3, the Boeing satellite, the Clementine Satellite, and the LRO moon mission.

  • Interesting !

  • amazing!!!

  • @GRIDKEEPER ya sorry i was just trying to see this tower & couldnt. Were never going to find out whats up there are we? Its sad how there isnt more information on some thing that is so interesting. Nasa stinks.
