MIO C320 gps faulty - crashes continually

20 mins after unboxing this is what happened. didn't even have a chance to put it in my car..."fatal error occured. restarting"

I'm pretty sure others have suggested this but try restoring the software from the included DVD or order a new DVD with new Firmware and MAPS which is just $15.00

Dose everything besides the map still work?

My MIO takes usually about 15 minutes to get a signal.. I am not sure why this happens, but it seems to never be able to get a signal when I pull out of my parking garage. HELP! I'm at the end of my rope.

My friend did u try to back up with your cd tht came in ur mio box??I had almost same problem..I Hope u can see your digi working again.(btw..after backup added samantha n got rid off unwanted stuff;)

after all I have a tomtom now. better interface and overall quality. I didn't trust this gps model anymore even if I had fixed it because what if the same thing happens in the middle of the road in another city? Although nice to have, I didn't really need all the extra features, just a rock solid gps unit which is why I bought a gps in the first place. If I wanted an mp3 player I would have gotten an ipod, etc.

thaks cobra. already traded it in for a tomtom one... and a navigon 2100. now I'm deciding between those two.
