Chachi The Chinchilla Barking

This is my chinchilla, Chachi, barking up a storm as he waits in his backup cage for his regular home to get cleaned. He's nocturnal and gets very grumpy when he's taken out of his regular cage.

They get bad fur like that when threatened or mistreated..... As you see he isnt human friendly prolly because he was/is abused. common sense when you see the fear is its eyes. My chin comes to me and never runs away like that!

this may sound stupid for idiots... but his fur is just ok:) im sure that little fella got a dust bath and some Chinchillas just produces more oil through their skin/fur than others. Mine does dustbaths like .... one time every 20th minute :p

@despaul12 He might just have bad fur quality due to genetics. Also, it's called a dust bath (though it's technically sand). No ash involved, however. Get smart before trying to be a smartass again.
