I read Gerry Conlons book "Proved Innocent" Easy read, i fell for his cham,and fell for the romantic side of the story. I also read Maloneys book Brendan Hughes fucked Conlon out of Belfast for being a Hood.. I agree with An Dorchá

As a Brit ashamed over this sorry, tragic and avoidable incident, can I just say the true strength of the Irish belief shone thru like a beacon! .....Why? Why? Why? weren't the police involved in this case ever brought to Justice!!?

Conlon seems a tad angry about having had his chocolate sherrifs badge punched for 16 years in jail!
@MissPeacebabe10
Wasnt about what the IRA did...it was about the British justice once again trampling on the rights of the Irish people like they had done for 800 years.

I saw "In the name of the father" for the second time in my life last night, the first one being 10 years ago. At the age of 14 I found this film so deeply moving it took a decade to brace myself and see it again. I never cried as much watching any film in my life. The injustice is atrocious, and the fact it's deliberate makes it so much worse. My thoughts go out to these people and their families, as well as to the families of the innocent victims of Guildford and Birmingham pub bombings.
