My sister and I had the privilege to share 3 hours at Alive Hospice in Nashville 6 days before his death. He kept us in stiches for those three hours telling us stories about his life, and wound up telling us about this wonderful viedo.

The last time I was him I told him this, "Your Gaurdian Angel is above you, and there is 2 tiers of ANGELS above HIM. Free of pain and clarity of thought, he thanked me, and I drove away.

Jesse (Dave) and I were childhood friends. We ran crazy all over the neighborhood, rode bikes like wildmen and climbed trees like monkeys. If it is possible Heaven now has just a little bit more attraction for me, 'cause my old buddy is there.

P.S. once he picked that guitar up he never would put it down!

Yesterday at Jesse's funeral I met a lot of his "Nashville posse" friends. I just want to thank you all for your kind support and sympathy. By association you have become my friends as well. Best wishes to you all. We will miss our Jesse/Dave greatly.

Jesse was my best friend, fellow musician, and surrogate brother from the day we met at 15. He had a huge impact on my entire being. To know Jesse is to love him; and with that came his own unique sense of humor (just out of kilter panned slightly to the left).

Jesse was like no one else, he followed his heart his dreams,and his God. He was kind and charitable and forgiving. Jesse always took the path he thought was right not the one that was easier, even if easier were staring dead at him. Jesse gave credit where credit were due and complimented others. He did not complain, nor did he hate. He fancied himself a lover not a fighter. He loved his family and his friends and most, he loved his wife Kim. He was a good man.
