This film was made by four seventh form students from Kapiti College, Paraparaumu, New Zealand for a media studies class. It looks at Lily Bird, a four year old girl with Down Syndrome and her mother's decision as to where Lily should go to school: to a local mainstream school, or to a special needs unit.
I think a mix between the 2 is good. They can attend mainstream for the most part of the day, then for about 2 hours, they are in special needs class at the same school.

These kids deserve a normal life with extra supports. You see mainstreaming this kids and offer services such as speech pathology, health and extra Special Services and mainstream the kid in subjects he or she is good in. We need to offer these kids the best lives possible.

if I pushed a downs-guy around like hell (I Loved mobbing) then I'D prolly not be here, I dealt 1 time with 1, he wanted to kick my ass for threatening a foreigner (not even HIM), gladly I had 6 friends around me, the brute went bwahbwah and knocked 2 of us on the ground just for me poiting a knife at a fucking turkey.

not every kid in this age is retarded and dumb as fuck, I for example already knew how to deceive, lie and use my status as "innocent child", what the fuck would you think would happen to a downs-child if they met some1 like me in grade-school or even Kindergarden?
My father told me that I pushed children out of seats for fun, If I did something like this to a down-child then there's a good chance that I'd not be living anymore because they work different.

You restrict others by making them watch out for these kids and having to adapt, this is not how life works.
