Girls with bikes riding from Cruz Verde in El Escorial, near Madrid, to Galapagar on what I hope to be the first day of summer here in Madrid!
Ok, so it's not really summer, it's more like spring.. but I'm from Scotland and anything above 17 degrees is considered summer, so it's summer to me :-)
Wasn't expecting the snow at Cruz Verde café, but the roads were clear, apart from the odd patch of salt which you would inevitably encounter on a bend, or a braking zone or some other place you really didn't want to encounter it, but hey ho, this is just a slow ride out as a result of cold temps, reduced grip and hazardous road conditions, but the sun was shining and we all know what that means!
I don't have a microphone in my crash helmet yet, so no commentary, not sure how to go about getting one but I will try and make it happen before summer starts in earnest!
If anyone is planning to ride to Spain this summer and wants some nice routes around the Madrid area or info on track days at the Jarama race circuit, leave a comment or PM me!
