In honor of National Teacher Appreciation Day, U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan made a visit to Randolph Elementary School in Arlington, Va. Duncan surprised the Randolph staff at a Staff Appreciation Breakfast sponsored by the Randolph Parent Teacher Association (PTA). Duncan also thanked and congratulated Matt Tosiello, a third-grade teacher at Randolph Elementary and the 2011 Arlington County Teacher of the Year. Duncan was joined by Randolph Principal Renee Bostick, Arlington School Board Chair Libby Garvey and the President of the Arlington Education Association Pam Clark.
