@Iohgilbert There's another "News of the Future" where Goldie Hawn predicts that Ronald Reagan would be elected president in 1980 ... my friends and I saw it when Laugh-In was running on Nick at Nite in the mid-'80s -- the studio audience laughed, but we gasped!
I'm looking for a skit called "news of the future" where they predict that weed will be legal by 1989. It was a pretty funny bit where the store clerk changed each time a sale was made because each participant was stoned and couldn't remember whether he was the customer or the clerk. Is that on youtube?
"The Party" was usually the opening sketch, after Dan & Dick's introduction, featuring random 'blackout" jokes and punchlines by the regular cast and guest stars. Dick usually delivered one while talking to a pretty girl; Henry Gibson did his as a minister, holding a teacup and commenting on "modern mores"; Arte Johnson appeared as an Indian, spouting an absurd proverb; Lily Tomlin (during her tenure as a regular) did her "Tasteful Lady" routine, riffing on "snooty attitudes".

That was Henry Gibson...did you mean Ray Walston (not Watson)? He played My Favorite Martian.

What about clips of Judy Carne and Goldie dancing in their go go segments? Those 16mm clips were a big part of the show for me.
