I can get the hoop up but when it gets there its just sloppy. i know how to dip and scoop it up but after i do that, i don't know what moves to do to keep it rotating. my arms are starting to get pretty bruised.

Maybe you need to use a larger hoop. The smaller the hoop the faster it will spin. Once you get the move down then go back and try it with the hoop you're using now.

i am having the HARDEST time with this movie. first of all, i hoop to the right, so i have to do everything backwards, and i cant seem to keep my hoop in place. all it wants to do is climb and punch me in my throat or teeth. i have bruises all over my arms, elbows and shoulders....my hoop just moves too fast....how do i slow mhy hoop down? it's slaughtering me here.

This is a really good, step-by-step tutorial. This is how I learned to chest hoop, though I got impatient after a few chest rolls without the hoop, and I've had to go back and smooth it out after the fact by doing this.
