wouldn't it be easier and safer to just pour a bucket of water or cleaning solution to clean the bowl and keep the pipes clear of Crystals also.

the blocking fluid needs no treatment, it is harmless. Urine is actually a fertiliser and needs no treatment either (or you can discharge it to the sewer with the rest of the wastewater). So I don't understand the point of the previous comment.
But I admit, the gloves were too big!! :-)
