A good version. I like it.

nice, brel is emo, brel is plain o.k.

No he does not. Not only is the name pronounced incorrectly, it ruins the rhythm of the lyrics. Brel's songs should remain in French. Although this isn't as bad as "If you go away on a summer's day..."

he pronounces it like Jacques Brel did... hardly wrong

My name is Marieke. He pronounces it wrong. He forgets the e at the end.

Did the people who translated this miss the 'e' at the end of 'Marieke'? Every version I've heard of this song in English the singer omits the ending 'e' and it sounds more like 'Mareek'. Your Dutch pronunciation could use a little work, granted it's hard for people not used to some of the sounds to properly pronounce them. Moreover this performance carries the tone of the original well. The facial expression is there, but you could have moved around a bit. :P Keep up the good work!

I'm impressed. Even your Dutch is very good. Keep up the good work.

Really good. Different, sincere.
At the beginning he sends to leave off the last syllable but at the end he prounces the final e. A few time. I think its a good version. Better than most English versions.

He pronounces it as they do in English. This is the best English version I've heard. Of course Brel himself does it better than anyone; that man was truly great.
