We are not up to the experiences we give ourselves.
Some are. Some enjoy it.
I can't say more.
I was born in the cuban revolution.
everything that followed was humans hating humans.
That was just my family.
I know ptsd
It can be a family thing.

I agree that in Iraq it does'nt matter where u r ,there is a chance to witness people getting killed, but please! stop claiming to be a combat Vet,if u'r MOS did not make u get up early and go outside the wire almost everyday to take the fight to the enemy, there is a big difference between being in the combat zone and actual combat,w/ an actual combat MOS.

@XyourXtoxicXloveX I feel ya. I have the same thing going on. Can't sleep, guilt (of loosing two friends), depression more than ever, night terrors, and flash backs. Loud sounds startle me, can't hear fireworks so that ruins the holidays for me and the wife. All they tell me is "I need to see a therapist.". Bullshit.

Vets find other vets that know your ill and lean on one another. Dont do it in a va setting! Im one of the ones that reached out. DONT DO IT...I barely got out alive. You are nothing but a financial liability to uncle sugar. The drug companies are pimping their poison thru the va. Dont be a victim.

Something that should be realized is that the training in the military is very traumatic and can cause PTSD as well. It's not just combat troops who were deployed who suffer from it, combat is merely the worst cause.
i have PTSD and BPD and i dont wanna admit it because i was taught to never show weakness just like the marienes, my dad was a cop a firefighter, worked on the FEMA team , went to hurricane floid, saved many lives everyday. i look up to him greatly and he never shows any sign of weakness. he is retired now. i never wanted to show my weakness but after relizing that i have flashback, anxiety, panic attacks untill the point i pass out... i thought its time to go seek help. i dont suffer, i deal.

You don't think ptsd is real or what? If that's true just talk to anyone who was actually in any type of war situation or a situation where a person's life is in danger etc. The Pentagon has removed PTSD from it's medical list and did back in Vietnam and they won't put it back on now because they're afraid of losing soldiers. However it's a huge problem for soldiers coming back because they have to get help on their own and it can be very expensive. It makes me sick how they aren't helping.
