I have a Seagull S6 the original and let me just say this...Seagulls are underestimated and you prove it why they are just as amazing as other top name brands.

The Seagull Maritime is part of the SWS (solid wood series) line. Their backs and sides are constructed of either solid mahogany or solid redwood. The tops are either solid spruce or ceder.

I asked because mine sounded kinda crappy with Cleartone strings. I switched to d'addario and it sounded more like yours. I guess cleartone just isn't the way to go for this guitar.

lol I just bought mine today..I traded in my s6 entourage and my s6 original for the SWS Maritime.. I didnt know they had the cutaway version until I saw it at on display at guitar center..jump on it right away. I got the maritime SWS CW SG Q1 all solid wood. It is a beautiful guitar and easier to play than the s6. $649 .

How's the neck on this and do you know if it compares to a mini jumbo? I'm looking to buy a Seagull, and I really the sound of the mahogany.

The neck is great on this, the action was a bit high but adjusting it makes a difference. its much wider than your standard acoutics, almost as wide as a classical...its really good for finger picking, gives your fingers a lot of room..
The mini jumbo is a bit more bassy a robust..The mahogany on this model gives it a more even tone..id recomend buying one of these guitars, there really good for the price
