Eighty years ago you would've loved it, and probably run up onto the soundstage and given the Babe a big kiss on the cheek. "Golly, Mr. Ruth," you would have surely cried, "you're the greatest!" And then the Babe would have struck up the band and reprised his wonderful song, over and over... just for you.
