I love this version of it, we're singing it in my choir too! I love how the first soprano "loved - him" bit sounds like sobs. It's beautiful and so sad.

I'm singing this song in choir, and I'm wondering if we're the only ones doing the extra little bit after the first 'Johnny has gone for a soldier'. Anyways, there are 80 girls in my choir. You are great all on your own! :D
