It's a fatal mistake to judge people by their wallets size.
That narrow mindedness belongs in a rap song, you know, singing about how big your stack is, blunts and bitches. I suspect your mind is comfortable in said region.
I don't know what Elden said, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was that Jack here was smug and condescending. Or that as an actor he's one dimensional. Like Sean Connery, the same guy in every movie. The actor bigger than the character.
