  • @ yamahasca yes...your probably right about the two swiss trips back to back. Unfortunately the phrase won't fit if played your way. Danny plays this different almost everytime I've seen him do this song...after asking him...he said 'it's all about mixing it up.'

  • I agree with the comment about you're own version being great. Most drummers are so put off by the difficulty that they don't even attempt it, which is lame in my view. The world needs drummers as free from pride as this. Kudos!

  • you made your own version of it and it's great.i like your sound and timing. I played this song for my drum exam and what i thought was the hardest, was to find the right samples for the electronic percussion :-). maybe i can help you by saying that the groove at 0:30 is probably RRlrlrrlrrLLrlrllrll , i'm pretty sure.

  • There's always the dipshit pointing the fucking finger at what the drummer "did wrong" For all of those people google "the man in the arena"

  • @jambivic so true! if anybody really knows danny carey and his drumming, its that he ALWAYS changes it up. and i incorporate that in my drumming. drums are not like guitars. guitars have to play pretty close to the original, otherwise it sounds like a different song obviously. but with drums, you have a little more freedom. thats why i hate when someone tries to say "no its actually this way blah blah blah" to me or anybody that plays drums. lol anyway that was longer than i was expecting haha

  • It's..ok...not overly impressed. Good job though.

  • Love the Paiste's. Sound great. Solid playing. Lots of stuff wrong throughout. Take the time to listen to the parts. For the record, the tom part at the beginning and throughout is two swiss triplets back to back with the lead hand changing.

    RR RRR RR

    L LL LL LL

    Like that.... and repeat.

  • @ixioner Semplified?

  • a lot semplified... :p
