This is part two of a multipart series where we will be comparing the Bushmaster ACR to the FN SCAR 16S. The ACR and SCAR are two top contenders for the up coming military trails to select a replacement for the Colt M4 service rifle. The Bushmaster ACR and FN SCAR 16S have many similar features and several differences.

  • Ive shot the Scar 17, and it is quite the beast. How do the two compare as far as balance, and accuracy? I was able to get a 1" group @ 100 yards with a 4x acog shooting from a rest.

  • @aimpointcx4444 I think the SCAR 17S is my favorite rifle. Like you, I shot 1" groups at 100 yards with it using a 4x ACOG (see the review I posted). It's very light weight, but it's still heavier than the 16S. For a .308 it's amazingly light and with very mild recoil.

  • If you absolutely HAD to pick between the two, using your own personal preferrences which would you pick? I've handled the SCAR, but haven't gotten my hands on an ARC yet. Great videos as usual, keep up the good job.

  • @MThrow Right now, I would go with the ACR.

  • Does the safety on the acr while in fire mode bite into your hand?

  • @shinli00 Yes it does.

  • Both of these rifles seem the same, I don't know why try to replace a rifle with a rifle that can feel the same either way

  • scar-l is easier to use and break down its easy to modify

  • I think the scar has a higher life expentency than the acr, FN uses high quality materials that is used by armies world wide. Bushmaster is part of remington and the materials of their parts is always inconsitant with quality due to the varying change because no army chooses to deploy there weapons, i would stay with HK,Colt, and FN and there subsidaries because armies depend on them for a great product.

  • @Sturmgewehre

Interesting, as I was watching the second part I was thinking that you seemed to be a little more "into" the description of the SCAR. I don't own a SCAR 16 or an ACR, I've been waiting to see if Bushmaster would come out with the 6.8SPCII conversion, I was recently told it would in about 2 months. I have an AR-15 in 6.8SPCII and I love that round, you can use any AR15 lower + Barrett makes a 30rnd 6.8SPCII Mag.+it can shoot a 110grain bullet 2650FPS from a 16" barrel

  • So far, watching these vids the SCAR just seems like an AR with an internalized buffer and revamped exterior on the upper.

  • @Millington43 No, SCAR stands for "Special operations forces Combat Assault Rifle".

  • ok so the scar is just a cool name for a gun, therefore I favor the scar

  • @arsdag81 And they aren't basement dwelling girls because most of them are into bondage not firearms correct?

  • There are 2 fat, sad, lonely, pitiful guys who live in their mom's basement, that watched this video.

  • @shinli00 it doesn't "bite" at all, I've put almost a thousand rounds through mine and I have had no problems with digging into my hand. having a high or a lower grip on it isn't an issue at all, gloves or not
