@daltonliwanpo I read that the monkey styles were developed by a guy mimicing monkeys from his prison cell. But I'd completely believe the clothes are a nod to Sun Wukong.
@psychedashell ITs about the most famous legend in china. Tang sanzang was a monk who went to india to take scrolls from india to china to establish buddhism. As time went by story tellers made up a mystical story about tang sanzang traveling with a monkey, a pig, and a friar. The monkey kung fu is based on this monkey. The monkey wore bright yellow clothing and used a ten thousand ton pole.
I wonder if dressing brightly is part of the Monkey thing, I've noticed a lot of practitioners tend to dress really gaudily, like a festival style, especially for exhibitions.
People who can't fully understand martial arts/Kung Fu/Wushu/Jeet Kun Do/ please.... GTFO thank you. Many fools rise to talk trash,But yet they have no full knowledge or background as to what something is. Much like many inventors get ridiculed for their ideas. Yet people now use these inventions of today. Goes to show you stupidity is not far away. Just look around.
Honestly 95% of these people making fun of him couldn't fight this guy let alone predict his movements(And I am talking a fair fist to fist/hand to hand combat). this style is one of the most unpredictable along with drunken fist/Monkey Pole/Drunken Monkey. yes it is a funny looking style but it is a solid and useful style.
@psychedashell that his is a differents STYLE of monkey style
