The Sandy & Edgar Snyder SOS Project in Russia -- A Visit to Tyumen 2004

The Sandy & Edgar Snyder SOS Project in Moscow & in 12 different locations in the Ural region in the Russian Federation provides SOS assistance to the needy through the work of the network of Hesed's (welfare centers) supported by JDC (the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee)

This video documents a visit to one of the 13 locations. The city of Tyumen in the Ural Mountain Region, well into the Russian Federation, bordering Siberia. Meeting with recipients of the Snyder SOS program during home visits. Meeting with SOS committee members and meeting with Josef Shuster JDC director in the Ural region.
