Jaars-Townsend, NC to Lincoln Park, NJ at 11,000 just past Patuxtent, MD. Looking at the Garmin 420's descent planning page which was programmed with planning to cross 5nm south of GARED at 9000. The unit shows the VSR (vertical speed required) to make the restriction. Once it gets to around 500fpm, I start heading down.

Forgive the unflattering shots at the end there, the goatee is bushy enough to lose a badger in...it's since been trimmed.

  • If you're ok with a 2 seater, the Lancair 360 is one of the most affordable planes out there. You get to go 190-200ktas on 10gph...that just doesn't happen very often. :) 690 hours in 11 months, that's IMPRESSIVE!

  • Great stuff. Looks like you forgot to paint your rear bulk-head or maybe that is to complete the grunge look :-)..

I have been looking at picking up a 360, just sold a 337. I should have been committed to an asylum my first year flying. I purchased a 1966 Cessna C-150F (N7970F). I put 690+ hours on it within 11 months. My wife thought I was having an affair LOL.

Loved the video of your night ILS approach near supercell.
