I was trying to figure out how the trigger mechanism is made but video showed everything but this, at a glance it seems the hole around trigger on the roof is larger than other those in the net, that is where clever rats escape from.

@arabob100 I could see how you might think that was the case but actually instead of the bars going vertical they go horizontal so the loop goes thru a normal space in the bars.

I had a trap simular to that with magnets holding the door shut, didn't work well, the critters figured out how to open the door. Had to put a lock on it.

I have never had that happen with this one. It has a good bit os resistance to open.

I liked the mose trap and will make one the weekend.

I caught rats & they manage to escape from the trap I had with a magnet holding the door closed. Worked somewhat well with squirrels though.
