While what Imus said was inappropriate he is known for edgy humor and his comment did not seem to come from a place of racism.

Its kind of amusing when people like you keep "racism" alive, like anyone talking about rednecks, hillbillys, whitetrash is any different than a comment like "nappy headed ho'".

Michael Richards = racist, Don Imus = disrespecting humor there is a difference and the place it comes from is different.
