No. Carter resorted to price fixing which created an artificial shortage and ruined our economy much more quickly than Nixon. Communists like Carter never understood the role of prices. The Soviets ran Russia's economy into the dirt for the same reason. At least they were smart enough to admit it.

Peter, you talk about how the US cannot afford to pay back its debt other than by rolling it or monetizing it. China would rather lend more to the drug addict - and help the US roll the existing debt to China - than take trillions off the printing press. I am of course talking about trillions ADDITIONAL to the ones already printed, trillions that the US would be forced to print to pay back debt that it suddenly cannot roll.

didn't jimmy carter inherit a recessionary economy from gerald ford. didn't he also try and do the right thing only to be voted out of office. I don't blame obama for the stimulus as it's what the majority of people want. what they need though is a prolonged depression.

I agree that healthcare should be higher quality and more efficient.

I'm not sure that Peter is right here when he says we need less healthcare employees. I think that we could both gain efficiency and increase healthcare employment simultaneously and not be overstaffed in this country. This may be especially true given the aging baby boomer cohort that will increase the healthcare demand over the coming decades.

I love Peter Schiff's videos, keep it up.

Politicians are there for themselves and they are greedy money grabbing pigs. They tax the hardworking people on low incomes yet let the fat cats feed with tax breaks. Pay a fair wage and cut taxes and run things properly for the working man and woman and stop producing all the cheap crap in China and buying it. If you dont things will get even worse than they are now. Thanks for another great update Peter.
