Police claimed that barricades were thrown at them during the protest on 1/10/07. This claim is false.

  • There were more police than protesters? Seriously, what were the protesters gonna try against a force that big? Its pretty damn obvious it was a peaceful protest, its like the police just got bored so decided to disperse it.

  • The reason you dont see it is becasue it didnt happen. The officer LIED. Looked in the camera and lied. HE should be dragged out of the station, stripped down, and caned on Pacific Ave.

  • The real reason the police tear gassed and shot at you is because pf your shitty singing

  • DoSomething is correct, from the 3 videos I watched on here I can see no reason for the Tacoma Police to act in the manner they did. Public Safety could gain a HUGE amount of good PR if they would appoint a liaison in these protests to work WITH the protest to ensure that the protesters can have their say, and that the situations don't escalate into an US vs THEM situation. This scenario absolutely didn't have to happen.

  • Yes.

  • Isn't this the same police department that had the guy that shot and killed his wife and then killed himseld?

  • Fucking pigs. Hate them, hate them all.

  • There's one lady yelling obscenities, and it only lasts for like a few moments before she finally shut up. The Supreme Court case Hague v. CIO ruled that public streets and sidewalks are common place for people to gather in protest, thus safe for protesting (even if they block it). The exception would be in the cases of a private roads, emergency routes during emergency, etc. Basically: The police had no good reason to break up the protest other than to break up the protest.

  • It doesn't matter if people throw barricades at the police, they act as if they going for peace yet I see and hear a number of them screaming obscenities at the police, as well as blocking a public road? That is not the smartest idea to do, and what exactly happens when a protest or riot breaks out? You get smacked in the face by the long arm of the law. Go back to your board rooms and meetings to figure out how to protest correctly.

  • police abuse us, as does the government.

    whats new?

  • The officers were refusing to Cooperate with the Constitution and Bill of Rights. When this happens, a citizen has not only the right but the DUTY to uphold it. Especially against its oppressors. American Constitution > Everything Else. Molon Labe!
