  • Thanks for your reply. To some extent my question was "playing the devils advocate" I am sure you can understand when an ordinary citizen reads & listens to reports such as Brian Gerrish and the links to which he claims Common Purpose are involved, it seriously worries people. In particular since Youtube was formed there is so much talk of the organisations linked into a common ambition for a " New World Order" that people who care and read are going to ask "who is telling the truth " ?

  • As you rightly point out, over the past few years we have been the subject of conspiracy theories and unfounded allegations on the internet (particularly on YouTube) regarding our integrity which we can assure you have absolutely no basis in fact. Our Chair of Trustees has issued a statement addressing some of these ridiculous theories which can be read under the Governance section on our website.

  • So Julia 2 questions 1/ why do Common Purpose hold courses under the protection of Chatham House Rules ? 2/ To who's ultimate benefit is "change" designed ?

  • @ALBIONTYKE Thanks for your comment.

As an internationally recognised and respected way of conducting meetings, the Chatham House Rule is used throughout the world as an aid to free discussion, adopted by many professional development courses and training programmes. Our courses are held according to the Chatham House Rule to help participants to talk openly and honestly with confidence. Real issues or concerns can be aired, genuine debate can flourish and deeper learning can be achieved.

  • @ALBIONTYKE Response to question two - Leaders who are innovative in their approach to tackling problems find unique solutions, create better products and deliver better services for the benefit of organisations, customers and the wider population. For society to continue to improve, progress or change - leadership is needed and people need ways to develop their leadership skills. That’s what we do. We help people build skills so what they do will be of benefit to a vast array of people.

  • Thank you

  • cont ; We see around us a substantial breakdown in the fabric of our society, including community spirit & sense of belonging, particularly the young, pc correctness which certainly on the face of it seems to enrage the ordinary citizen I am an open minded person and if someone could convince me that C P was of benefit to this country I am always prepared to listen & learn. I totally agree that change is needed, but what concerns me & others is in which direction is that change heading ?
