@CrimsonMarquis its not that ridiculous, the side mount bolts dont have that much force placed on them because of the U shape of the mounts. the engine and trans weighs 400 pounds with a 40%left-40%right-20%back force displacement. That means those bolts need to hold up less then 160lbs, considering that the mounts actually sit on the car, so the bolt just keeps it upright, So its a safe assumption to say that each bolt is holding less then 53lbs considering they can withstand over 400lbs..

@mr2v6sc i wouldnt have a problem if i had to do a K20 swap for school

Some of this stuff is good for general reference....other stuff in this DVD is old/dated/obsolete info. In particular the installation of the HR engine mounts. Not sturdy enough and the tap/die thing is kind of rediculous considering how little material is holding the bolt in. Go with Hasport's - bolt all the way through the framerail and stich-welded around the edges.

Look like a school project... Teacher is wearing shorts! ''Use tap to make starting point for drilling'' It's called a center punch btw!

@sciontcdude and @ Brendon00000, did you notice the 3 bolts they used on the side of the passenger mount? those are exsisting bold holes on frame. that is your referance point for that mount.
