Tofino Air, Floatplane Landing on Paradise Lake

Landing on a tiny mountain lake is a fantastic experience wherever you are. But in this weather and in one of the most stunning places on earth: Tofino, Vancouver Island, it was simply and totally unforgettable.

If you watch closely you can see he jogs to the right a little bit to pick up some speed and get the aircraft up on the step. This decreases the distance of the take off run and compensate for the density altitude. He's actually rotated in no time but performs are very shallow take-off to keep his speed up and to avoid a high altitude stall. Smart piloting here.
