I take it you don't know the story behind this act. The night of June 3rd, the Chinese army massacred it's own people. Massacred. Do you have any idea how brave it is to witness a massacre and still stand up to the ones that did it? You don't, plain and simple. I don't and I'm sure most of the world wouldn't do what he did. And no. His actions would have been told by word of mouth even if no one got it on video. He has become a symbol.

Yep, you just keep right on obeying.
He did what he thought was right, regardless of the consequences.

If he was arrested and executed it would've been shown on chinese television at that time, because during the time of the protests they would televise these executions

Please fix your description. This is not correct. He was not tackled and it is widely believed (most historians have reached consensus) that those who led him away were not police. Could he have been arrested later? Maybe. But at this time he was NOT tackled, hit, assaulted, or arrested. He may very well still be alive at this time.

He is an hero and we don't know his destiny. Bad world.

This man is the bravest human being that existed in my life time.

What does the civil war have anything to do with this video?

I have no words
There is a slightly longer video out there of this incident. I believe it shows the man getting on the tank? I do know that he was tackled by soldiers, and that he was never heard from again.
