I'll never forget this day...after MJ drew lane 8 Carl Lewis said of MJ in his gay ass voice, "He's finished!" And MJ ran his PR best 200m time ever at that point 19.79. Beautiful consentration & really the fastest lane on the track bc it has the least curve or turn. So MJ turned around & looked at gay ass Carl & said like a man, "OUTTA LANE EIGHT!"

@phastman1994 HAHAha I can't say I can't stand Carl bc I do respect his accomplishments but he did say some foul shit that day. It's all in MJs autobiography & yes I know MJs favorite lane was 3 but that doesn't mean it's the fastest. Lane 8 is actually the fastest lane bc of the "less curve" but some say there is no one in front of u & ur by urself in lane 8 & lane 7 is the fastest. I say, in track u shouldn't be concentrating on anyone else but yourself! ;-) enjoy the World Championships.

@BreuckelensFinest the curve in lane 8 is far to wide for me, I know what you mean about being able to concentrate on your own lane better though, but the key is being able to concentrate on yourself no matter what lane your in. And I'll enjoy Daegu!

@phastman1994 No by physics lane 8 is the fastest because there's less curve so your body does not need to spend as much energy propelling itself at a certain speed while applying force in a perpendicular axis to accelerate sideways to turn as much. But it usually sucks because you have no idea where you are in the race and can't pace properly.

Damn shame about MJ is his olympic bad luck with the 200, the food poisoning in 1992, and the injury in 2000 trials. But everyone knew he was fastest at 200 and likely would have won golds in both olympic years had bad luck not befallen him.
