Please read the full description before watching the video. Thank you.

Documentary based on an article by Tom Junod (Esquire 2003) about a photograph (by Richard Drew) of a man falling from the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.

The film goes in search for the identity of the falling man and also how the photograph affected many people. Interviews with journalists, photographers and families who lost someone on 9/11. Directed by Henry Singer and narrated by Steven MacKintosh.

First broadcast by UK's Channel Four in March 2006. Apologies for any breaks in programme, the software used is not the best.

the fact that we're watching this 11 years after it happened shows how much it still affects us. will never forget that day, I was only 9 and i remember coming home from school and my mum telling me to sit down, shut up and watch the news. I was so mad at her, then I saw the second plane hit..and I knew this was something awful. I will never forget the look on mums face. love from Scotland. xxx

I think what the writer did was disrespectful. He ASSUMED that the falling man was Hernandez due to some physical features and what her wore...he wasn't 100 percent sure. Instead of leaving it alone after bothering the daughter at the funeral, he asked extended family members to give him Hernandez's story and published it anyways without Hernandez's wife or daughters consent. Identifying him is not important. Respecting an unknown man's choice of how to end his life is.

Many journalists are unscrupulous human scum. This is an awful thing to say but it's true nonetheless.

If the era of 4k Ultra HD cameras was around then, they probably would have easily ID'd the falling man.

Seriously these religious people dont make any sense. Firstly it wasn't suicide, he was still murdered. Second even if it was, no loving Christian God would damn someone for jumping in this situation even if suicide was a sin. Get a grip.

7:02 With all due respect to the lady and her beliefs, it is clear that she has not comprehended how awful the conditions could have been where her husband was on that floor. When in shock, the mind and body are capable of things we never consider during the normality of modern life.

I know it's not relevant, but, man, was he a handsome guy. It's even more sad, when you find out he was kind and good too.

This is where I feel the Press has become inexcusably "intrusive." What difference does it make who this man actually was? So Unnecessary to add to this family's grief & disrespectful during their time of sorrow. If the family wanted the media or public to

know his identity, they can contact the media themselves! How does Anyone even know he actually jumped? They're "assuming" he did. They have No Way of knowing circumstances or the "peace" he was called to by God. No one knows what they'd do.

"Religion" itself is Not sick. It's the "erroneous interpretations" that people attach to it that's sad & Sick. Satan acts by what we say & do because he does Not know what's in our mind & heart. We tell him by our behavior. Only God can read our Mind & Heart & it's He who makes decisions concerning our motives & conduct. Any family who dains to "assume" they know what their love one's eventuality after death will be is Wrong to even speculate. The final decision is not "ours" to make.

Those that jumped did not commit suicide. Suicide is when you want and have every intention of killing yourself. Those people didn't. They didn't enter work that morning with the intention of jumping. Death was inevitable for them. They knew that and had to choose. They were murdered.
